The Green Mountain Comedy Festival has FIVE great years under its belt, and the spring of 2014 will be Year 6!

It was started in 2009 by Kathleen Kanz as a single show to feature local comics in the Burlington area. The festival grew steadily, and in Nathan Hartswick and Natalie Miller of the Vermont Comedy Club came aboard in 2011 co-producers.

In recent years, VT comedy has exploded – and the GMCF has evolved into a multi-venue, multi-show fest, featuring 100 local standup, improv, sketch and musical comics in 30 shows over 5 days.

Highlights of the 2013 GMCF included Todd Barry, MTV’s Sara Schaefer, and improv troupes from UCB and ImprovBoston. The next festival will happen from May 21-25, 2014.
