The Green Mountain Comedy Festival is gearing up for its SIXTH year, and this one is going to be better than ever!
It all started in 2009 by local producer Kathleen Kanz – back then it was a single show meant to feature local comics in the Burlington area. The festival – and the comedy scene in Vermont – grew steadily, and in 2011 Nathan Hartswick and Natalie Miller of the Vermont Comedy Club came aboard as co-producers.
In recent years, the GMCF has evolved into a legitimate multi-venue, multi-show fest, featuring both national talent (such as Todd Barry and Upright Citizens Brigade) and local acts – over 100 Vermont performers in 30 standup, improv and sketch shows over 5 days.
The 2014 Green Mountain Comedy Festival will take place May 21 – 25, and feature Tig Notaro, Myq Kaplan, UCB, ImprovBoston, and much more. We keep growing, but most of the work is still done by just three people, so please reach out if you’d like to get involved in this exciting event!
